Francis Doom is the project of NJ-based musician, Jay Sakong. Known mostly for being the singer/songwriter/guitarist of OWEL, he was aided with the help of fellow OWEL member/bassist Nunzio Moudatsos to record 10 songs. The band's evolution has been staggering from album to album. Whilst this is their most accessible work and should attract the attention it deserves, the existential uncertainty underlying its lyrics makes for compelling listening - eh, it's a lockdown album, how else is it meant to sound? :D

This album is pretty much a rollercoaster. Starting off with Desolate.Magnificent, it slowly builds up with it's ambient and foggy sound. You keep thinking to yourself "This is nice and all... but when does the rollercoaster even start?" when right at the 2:47 mark you get launched backwards. Great fucking album. Keep it up! It's ambient sections always help me relax and calm down, it's energetic sections... well energize me!!
